FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for reconstruction of waterfront embankments of anchored bulwark type while increasing rated depth of water area and useful loads on near- cordon area, as well as for stabilization of emergency embankments and backwater walls. In the process of reinforcing waterfront structures with anchored face wall effected by installing additional anchor rods and their next tensioning, additional anchor rods are installed horizontally and/or in inclined position, and are fastened to face wall of waterfront structure in its underwater part through distributing bands using one or more chambers tightly joined to face wall of waterfront structure depending on position of additional anchored rods and type of waterfront structure. Horizontal and/or inclined holes are drilled from mentioned chamber through ports made in face wall of waterfront structure; flexible casing pipes are drawn through drilled holes; additional anchor rods are tightened in casing pipes; after that distributing bands are assembled from mentioned chamber; then additional anchor rods are tensioned up. Method provides for work execution while waterfront structure is in service. EFFECT: reduced labor consumption and installation period; improved workmanship. 5 cl, 4 dwg
