FIELD: oil and gas production industry. SUBSTANCE: packer is used for carrying out isolating operations at overhaul repairs of wells, for temporary closing of well hole. Device has hollow barrel with plug and stopper, setting detent, actuated body, and rod of setting cylinder. Installed on barrel are following components: cone with slip sockets, sealing member, and detent of sealing member position with holding jaws. Located between slip sockets and cone are shear pins. Detent of sealing member position is provided with removable housing. It is adapted for interaction with setting detent. This detent is made in the form of locking ring. Made in hollow body and rod are circular bores for seating of locking ring. Cone is provided with additional taper-shaped supporting surface which is directed oppositely to main taper-shaped surface. Additional taper-shaped supporting surface is adapted for interaction with holding jaws through taper-shaped inserts. Application of aforesaid embodiment of packer improves efficiency of well hole closing. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
