FIELD: foundry. SUBSTANCE: method of operation of continuous casting plant including continuous casting machine having stationary mold and joined with mixer by means of roller table comprises steps of setting size of ingot at mold outlet and then setting casting parameters at least casting rate in such a way that to provide temperature of ingot at furnace inlet equal to desirable rolling temperature of hot rolled strip, to provide constant presence of lower end portion of liquid phase in zone of mouth of continuous casting machine and to act upon heat and energy content of ingot removed from continuous casting machine. Continuous casting plant includes continuous casting machine with mold, furnace, rolling mill and devices for acting upon energy and heat content of ingot in zone of roller table. EFFECT: possibility of changing casting parameters of predetermined manufacturing line at maintaining previous value of casting efficiency. 10 cl, 2 dwg
