FIELD: organic chemistry, natural compounds. SUBSTANCE: invention describes new derivatives of camptothecin showing the enhanced antitumor activity of the general formula (I) where R′ means unsubstituted or substituted lower alkyl group; X′ means the group of the formula: NHR2 where R2 means hydrogen atom or lower alkyl, or the group of the formula: Alk-OH where Alk means direct or branched alkylene group optionally containing oxygen atom in the chain bound to carboxyl-containing groups polysaccharide by amino acid or peptide, or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt. The indicated derivatives of camptothecin show the enhanced an antitumor activity and nonsignificant adverse effects as compared with usual anticancer agents and they are very valuable as drugs.
