FIELD: biotechnology, genetic engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polypeptide that is a derivative of the factor that inhibits lipogenesis in human. Polypeptide is produced by recombinant method or by hydrolysis with trypsin. This polypeptide has no from 1 to 9 N-terminal amino acids. Method involves preparing AGIF-containing expressing vector used for transformation of host-cells. Host-cells are cultured under conditions of expression of indicated derivative AGIF and the latter is isolated from culture. Fused protein has AGIF with deletion from 1 to 9 N-terminal amino acids and fused with protein that binds maltose. Then method involves the construction of the expression vector containing DNA sequence encoding the fused protein and used its for transformation of corresponding host-cells followed by culturing host-cells under conditions for expression of the indicated fused protein. Culture is treated with an enzyme that is able to split the expressed fused protein at the specific site and the end product is isolated from the culture.
