FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to erection of underground structures of various purpose primarily to construction of pedestrian underpasses under high embankments in difficult ground conditions when setting of base ground is possible and also in close urbanian quarters. According to method, hollow metal members are inserted by force in ground. Welded to these metal members at different sides are lock and cam with creation of continuous waterproofing system. In construction of lining, initially made are sections of trough-like part. Used for this purpose are reinforced concrete slabs with external metal waterproofing cladding at sides facing towards base ground and walls. Installed on each reinforced concrete slab is column with rigid fastening to slabs. After that, installed atop columns are lateral sectional metal girders with their thrusting directly or through wedges against metal members inserted by force in ground. Girders in combination with columns create load-bearing frames. Then, walls of structure are concreted with simultaneous embedding of joints between slabs of trough-like part. Upon erection of integral sectional-monolithic lining, hardening material is injected behind lining between pressure-inserted metal members at places of joints. Application of aforesaid method allows for reduction of metal-, material-, and labour-inputs with erection of actually designed structure with no emergency situations.
