FIELD: transportation engineering, particularly, method of control and relief of passenger, freight-passenger and freight traffics of urban transport complex. SUBSTANCE: offered invention is applicable in construction of new structures of urban transport complex, control and relief of traffics to ensure faultless transport operation, elimination of traffic jams in system of urban transport complex, and reduction of emergencies and traffic accidents. Novelty in the method consists in that least, one tunnel located in complicated mining and geological conditions under acting main traffic artery without interruption of traffic in it, is updated by formation of at, least, one additional section from one side of updated tunnel or by formation of one-section underground structure with enlarged cross-section of underground structure including, at least, a part of transverse volume of updated tunnel, for which purpose, first, protective carrying screen is formed, at least, above roofing of contemplated additional section, or at, least, above roofing of contemplated underground structure. Then, ground is consolidated by injection which is to be worked inside existing tunnel and then, consolidated ground on the side of portal of existing updated tunnel is worked and lining of updated underground structure is formed, or its additional section. Upon completion of tunnel updating, a system of access routes or, at least, one through traffic artery is connected, or a part of transport traffic of city is passed through updated underground structure. Technical result ensured by the invention consists in creation of possibility in short time and with minimum labor input and material consumption of performance of control and relief of urban traffic without interruption of traffic in crossed traffic arteries with simultaneous provision of performance of work involved in updating and construction of reliable and durable transportation structures under complicated mining and geological conditions with dense housing system and presence of heavy transport traffic in traffic arteries.
