METHOD OF UPDATING OF UNDERGROUND TRANSPORTATION STRUCTURE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: transportation engineering, particularly, methods of updating of underground transportation structures as components of urban transport complex. SUBSTANCE: offered method is applicable in updating of structures - components of urban transport complex, and control and relief of traffic to ensure faultless traffic, elimination of traffic jams in system of urban transport complex, reduction of number of emergencies and traffic accidents. Novelty consists in that in claimed method of updating of underground transportation structure as component of urban transport complex or those of cities or localities connected by traffic arteries, or forming pedestrian subways mainly under acting main traffic artery without interruption of traffic in it, or under street, or embankment, or under foundations of building including those in loose unstable grounds, updating is effected by formation, at least, from one side of structure of, at least, one additional section by formation of single-section underground structure with large cross-section including, at least, one part of transverse space of updated structure. For which purpose, first, formed in ground, at least, above roofing of contemplated underground structure, or, at least, above roofing of contemplated underground structure is protective carrying screen, then injection consolidation of ground to be worked inside existing underground structure. Then, consolidated ground on the side of one of portals of existing updated structure is worked and lining of updated underground structure or its additional section is formed. Technical result provided by offered invention consists in updating and creation in short time and with minimum labor input and material consumption of reliable and durable transportation structures under complicated mining and geological conditions, in conditions of dense housing system and presence of heavy traffic, without interruption of traffic in crossed main traffic arteries.
