FIELD: detection of small metal bodies and particles in products, materials and articles with low electric conductance, specifically, in food and pharmaceutic industries. SUBSTANCE: metal detector has sensor in the form of inductance coil placed in oscillatory circuit of self-excited oscillator of electric oscillations, comparator and master unit of setting. It is added with measuring- computing unit, flip-flop frequency divider and test coil. Sensor comes in the form of two sections spaced apart by certain distance and connected in opposition. Test coil is placed in plane parallel to plane of main coils and is remote from main coils by distance of radius of main coil of sensor in direction opposite to zone of detection. Leads of test coil are connected to key which controlling input is connected to output of self-excited oscillator through flip-flop frequency divider. EFFECT: increased detection range. 3 dwg
