FIELD: measuring phase, frequency and amplitude of oscillations of blades of turbomachines, possibly indication of fatigue strength of blade material, prevention of damage or breakage of blades. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing in housing of turbomachine autodyne SHF converter; pickup of revolution number and revolution mark; detecting by means of autodyne SHF-converter signal with Doppler frequency change; detecting frequency- modulated signal of autodyne converter; extracting component corresponding to oscillation motion of blade; then determining analytically phase, frequency and amplitude of oscillations of each blade of rotating impeller of turbomachine. Apparatus includes peripheral autodyne SHF converter, contact free revolution number pickup, shaper of pickup pulses; unit for registering reflected signal; limiting amplifier; synchronous detector and amplitude detector, time interval-to-voltage converter; controlled generator; analog signal comparator; analog- digital converter; electronic computer.
