FIELD: testing and diagnostics of stressed-deformed state. SUBSTANCE: mechanical stresses having shape of pulse with duration of 0.005-0.01 s with amplitude from 0.8 to 1.05 of calculated working stress are formed in material of article under adiabatic conditions. Thermal field is scanned and recorded simultaneously with it. Position and form of concentrators of mechanical stresses are exposed by non-uniformity of thermal field. EFFECT: growth of intensity of own thermal radiation of surface of article and consequence of it brightness and contrast of thermograms.
