FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves action on specimen with pulse heat flow and recording of temperature of surface of specimen. As heat flow from heater propagates thermal images of both front and rear faces of specimen are recorded simultaneously by means infrared imager. Scanner of infrared imager records directly infrared radiation from front surface of specimen, nearest to scanner and radiation from opposite, rear surface of specimen is recorded with the help of mirror reflector placed at angle with axis of scanner. Thermophysical characteristics of specimen are determined after processing of infrared recordings with due account of temperature distribution. EFFECT: raised sensitivity of method. 1 dwg
