FIELD: equipment testing and diagnosing stress- deformed state of solid-propellant rocket engine. SUBSTANCE: method consists in scanning and recording of flows of own heat radiation of elements of surface of casing of solid-propellant rocket engine under adiabatic conditions. Scanning and recording are carried out at moment of initiation of electric igniter of charge of solid fuel. Location and form of concentrators of mechanical stresses are exposed by non- uniformity of recorded thermal field of surface of casing of solid-propellant rocket engine. EFFECT: increased authenticity of obtained information.
