FIELD: biotechnology, microbiology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of biological control of harmful insects. Invention relates to a new strain of bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. tenebrionis DSM 5480 producing 3282-4169 BTT US/r delta-endotoxin. The strain is obtained by irradiation of the parent strain Bacillus thuringiensis DSM 2830 by γ-irradiation, culturing on medium promoting to preparing asporogenic or oligosporogenic mutants followed by selection of obtained semitranslucent colonies and their resowing on medium no containing volatile components. Again obtained cells are kept at 90 C for hour, incubated their at 30 C, asporogenic colonies are obtained, bacteria are selected and sown their on an industrial medium. Then bacteria producing the maximal amount of delta-endotoxin are selected. Obtained delta-endotoxin is used for preparing a composition used for control of agriculture pests. Invention ensures to increase the yield of delta-endotoxin by 2-3-fold as compared with the parent strain.
