FIELD: building materials industry, more particularly manufacture of wall materials, more specifically non-fired bricks and wall units of dry pressing. SUBSTANCE: binder comprises, %: limestone or dolomite, 20-90; alkali component, the balance. Moisture content of mixture is 12-16%. Alkali components include NaOH and KOH and alkali salts Na₂CO₃ and K₂CO₃ and also mixtures of said alkalis with alkaline carbonates and liquid glasses at various ratios. EFFECT: greater aesthetic properties of binder and higher strength gain rate during initial hardening period and lower content of alkali component. 2 tbl
