FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: fibre-optic gyroscope has a radiation source optically connected to a coupler, a polariser, a coil with a fibre loop, as well as a phase modulator, a microcontroller, a photodetector module and two temperature sensors connected to the data input of the microcontroller. One of the temperature sensors is a photodetector module which is placed at the focus of a parabolic mirror and which detects infrared radiation flux from the surface of the fibre loop, which is connected by its output to the input of the microcontroller, which is configured to correct the value of angular velocity depending on temperature which characterises temperature instability of the scaling factor and temperature which characterises temperature instability of zero signal shift.
EFFECT: invention increases accuracy of temperature compensation of the output signal of a fibre-optic gyroscope.
