FIELD: plasma engineering.
SUBSTANCE: development of stationary plasma engines. The output ends of the discharge chamber walls are flat, located parallel to the outer planes of the poles and offset in the output direction relative to the outer planes of the poles by an amount from 0.5 to 1 of thickness of the parts poles closest to the working channel. The anode-gas distributor is located at a distance from the ends of the outlet part of the discharge chamber, exceeding by 1.5 or more times the minimum width of the working channel in the pole gap. The radial gaps of the walls of the magnetic screen are made so that at least one of these gaps exceeds the value of the end gaps. The magnetic system creates a magnetic field with the distribution of the radial component of the magnetic induction between the walls of the discharge chamber at an equal distance from each of them along the working channel, in which the width of the increasing part of the distribution of the radial component of the magnetic induction from 0.5 to 1 from the maximum of the specified distribution does not exceed the minimum width of the working channel in the pole gap, and the maximum of the specified distribution of the radial component of the magnetic induction is outside the working channel and is shifted in the output direction of the working channel relative to the outer planes of the poles by more than 0.3 of the minimum width of the working channel in the pole gap. An expansion was made in the output part of the working channel.
EFFECT: increased resource, traction efficiency and reduced wear of structural elements of a plasma accelerator with closed electron drift during long-term operation.
