FIELD: methods of production of electrical-sheet steel, particularly, with oriented grainy structure and uniform, well adhered, glass film and improved magnetic properties. SUBSTANCE: method includes preliminary production and annealing, if required, of hot band; cold rolling for one or several passes to final thickness; application to band of final thickness of annealing separator and its drying; high-temperature annealing of band with applied layer. Important component part of annealing separator is aqueous dispersion of magnesium oxide (MgO). Annealing separator contains additionally, at least, one additive. Characteristic feature of invention is use of at least, one additive in form of finely dispersed aluminium compound with particles sizing less than 100 nm and/or sodium phosphate well soluble in water taken from group including sodium decahydrate of pyrophosphate, disodium hydrogen-sulfate, trisodium phosphate, sodium-ammonium hydrogen-phosphate taken in amount of 0.05-4.0% MgO amount.
