FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, wear-resistant, high-temperature, corrosion-resistant and antifriction cast irons applicable in automotive, petrochemical, petroleum refining industries for production of light-weight castings including thin-walled shaped castings of special and general application. SUBSTANCE: claimed cast iron contains wt.%: carbon 1.6-2.5; silicon 0.5-1.5; manganese 0.2-0.8; phosphorus 0.04-0.1; sulfur 0.01-0.03; titanium 0.005-0.12; aluminium 19-24; copper 0.1-3.0; nickel 0.05-1.0; zirconium 0.01-0.2; niobium 0.003-0.05; boron 0.003-0.01; calcium 0.05-0.5; magnesium 0.01-0.07; rare-earth metals 0.012-0.2; the balance, iron. Cast iron has no carbides Fe3AlCx and Al4C3 that excludes spontaneous decomposition of castings. It features low density, high strength and high resistance to heat and wear, high growth stability, corrosion resistance, paramagnetism and increased antifriction properties in casting of various thickness, and prolonged service life of parts manufactures from claimed high-aluminium iron. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 tbl
