SUBSTANCE: cast iron has the following components, wt. -% : carbon 3.4-3.8; silicon 0.3-0.6; manganese 0.3-0.8; nickel 0.8-1.5; copper 0.5-1.0; calcium 0.01-0.03; barium 0.01- 0.03; rare-earth metals 0.01-0.03; zirconium 0.03-0.06; titanium 0.03- 0.06; niobium 0.03-0.06, and chrome 0.4-1.0. Content ratio of niobium to titanium is 1:(1-1.2), and that of chrome to silicon is 1:(1.3-1.7). Use of proposed cast iron ensures to make roll ingots without cracks, with high hardness level and working properties. EFFECT: enhanced quality of cast iron. 1 tbl
