BIRD REPELLING METHOD Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture and other branches of industry, in particular, repelling of birds for protecting airports, warehouses, architectural memorials and agricultural lands. SUBSTANCE: method involves ejecting self-moving gunpowder cartridge with stabilizer toward bird flock. Acoustic vibrations generated by burning cartridge repel birds. Bright flame and silhouette of cartridge approaching to birds provide additional repelling effect. Upon combustion of gunpowder member in cartridge, its end cover made from pyrotechnic compound continues to burn, with combustion surface being increased and additional acoustic effect being produced. EFFECT: increased efficiency by combined optical and acoustic action of gunpowder cartridge. 2 dwg
