FIELD: medicine, more precisely, neurosurgery; applicable in surgical treatment of patients with brain tumors of medial and deep situations. SUBSTANCE: method includes osteoplastic trepanation in projection of brain tumor; opening of meninx is effected by linear incision parallel to upper sagittal sinus. Incision is made with length equalling 0.5 - D, where D is tumor diameter. Ends of linear incision are rounded in direction opposite to drain sagittal sinus at distance of 0.2 to 0.5 cm from the latter. EFFECT: adequate access to tumor, maximum radical removal of tumor and reliable hemostasis and tight suturing with no injury to brain and its plastic.
