METHOD OF FRONTAL SINUS PLASTY AFTER SUBFRONTAL APPROACH Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: formed two parts of frontal sinus in main bone and bone flap are treated with antiseptic agent. Mucous membrane is then stripped in the main bone, and the mucous membrane is removed in the bone flap. Fat autograft pre-treated with an antiseptic agent is placed in both frontal sinus parts. Fibrin-thrombin glue is introduced so that to fill the remaining cavities and create adherence of the fat autograft to the inner walls of both sinus parts. That is followed by steeping the Tachocomb in the absorbent wound coat in sterile saline solution and tightly placing it on top of the adipose tissue so that the cavities of both frontal sinus parts are completely closed. Layer of fibrin-thrombin glue is applied over the Tachocomb plates. After that, the flap is put in place, restoring the anatomical integrity of the skull and fixing.

EFFECT: method allows performing frontal sinus plasty after subfrontal approach due to tamponade with autologous autograft of two parts of frontal sinus, using plate Tachocomb and application of layer of fibrin-thrombin glue.
