FIELD: bridge building, applicable for construction of bridge piers, on geomasses subjected to soil slip phenomena inclusive. SUBSTANCE: bridge pier may comprise a piles foundation with a foundation mat combining the piles, and a cross-bar carrying the bridge framework. The pier is furnished with anti-slipping facilities combined with the pier foundation, and made in the form of a counterbench, loading the lower part of soil slip in the point of the maximum soil slip pressures, with an angle wall supporting its slope, which is fastened to the foundation mat of the piles foundation of the pier, and additional inclined piles; the pier axis is shifted relative to the foundation mat axis by a value not exceeding 1/6 of the foundation mat width towards the side corresponding to inclination of the additional pules-opposite the soil slip motion. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of piers located on soil slip territories, reduced cost, terms of construction and labour content. 1 cl, 2 dwg
