FIELD: hydraulic power engineering. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic structure in the form of dam built of local materials that permits flood discharges through its crest and downstream slope has seepage layer, reinforcing section, and downstream slope cover in the form of corrosion-resistant net. Reinforcing section of net and safety cover of slope are unified strips arranged in tiers over dam height. Inner part of each tier passed through dam body is bent and joined with preceding one through dam height. External part of tier emerging to slope is lowered to preceding tier through dam height and joined with that tier in overlapping manner. Sides of strips are overlapping each other and joined together. Extreme bank strips are anchored in ground and covered with concrete. Seepage layer is arranged between anti- seepage member and rock mass; it is provided with exits to non- flooded levels ensuring air passage from dam body during initial moment of flood discharge.
