FIELD: erection of underwater pipe lines in coastal zones at large depths. SUBSTANCE: centering tower is supported by bearing base and frame on water craft; centering tower upward off base for holding joint of pipe. Bearing tower holding the mass of pipe line is secured to bearing base in such way that it moves downward into water. Tackle block is used for motion along tower for raising or lowering pipe and pipe line. Platform which is movable between open and closed positions for receiving section of pipe line form tackle block and holding the mass of pipe line is located near base (bottom) of tower. For gripping the pipe joint from racks pipes ready for welding and carrying it to centering tower, use may be made of on-board block or derrick. Since bearing tower extends into water, there is no need in stringer. EFFECT: enhanced reliability due to position of bearing tower in water which provides for low position of CG. 5 cl, 7 dwg
