FIELD: cooling of flow of gas escaping from cracking still. SUBSTANCE: device includes inlet section with diffuser taper inlet passage changing to outlet section which is divided into set of outlet passage and gas from each of them enters one of heat exchange tubes. Cross-section area of outlet section reduces towards motion of gases. EFFECT: avoidance of formation of stagnant zones in passage and minimum losses of pressure due to smoothly changing cross section from diffuser to contraction section. 5 cl, 4 dwg
