FIELD: manufacture of engines; cleaning of motor oils. SUBSTANCE: oil cleaner has rotor mounted for rotation on hollow axle. Disc with holes in central zone for overflow of oil is mounted inside rotor; its diameter is equal to inner diameter of rotor. Spacers finned on both sides are mounted coaxially in rotor between disks; outer diameter of these spacers is lesser than inner diameter of rotor. Fins of spacers of curvilinear shape form passages together with disks which direct flow of oil containing contaminants towards rotation of rotor. Such construction of rotor of oil cleaner makes it possible to direct flow of oil containing particles of contaminants over loop-shaped trajectory passing the periphery section of rotor many times where maximum centrifugal forces act. Deflection of oil by means of finned spacers in way of rotation of rotor and change of direction of vector relative to velocity ensures direction of inertial Coriolis forces from center of rotor to its periphery. Joint action of centrifugal forces and Coriolis inertial forces on particles of contaminants possessing high density provides for intensification of their separation and settling on walls of rotor. EFFECT: increased degree of cleaning of motor oils. 4 dwg
