FIELD: mechanical engineering; construction of shock absorbers used for secured body or cab on frame of transport facility. SUBSTANCE: shock absorber has cylindrical body with cover inside which piston with rod is arranged. Two flexible members are mounted between piston and covers. Engageable members of piston and covers have form of closed Cassini curve at section by plane passing through axis of body limited by perpendiculars to interpole line at points of poles of this curve. These surfaces change to radial straight lines in above-mentioned section. Flexible members are made inn form of balls at radius corresponding to 1.5 to 1.6 of interpole distance of Cassini curve and are compressed between surface of piston and covers.
