FIELD: nuclear energetics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the nuclear energetics and the nuclear industry and concerns devices for packaging, transporting and storing spent reactors pressure vessel, mostly for decommissioned nuclear submarines and nuclear icebreakers. The container is additionally equipped with a lid, which is mounted on the support element of the reactor, and the material absorbing ionizing radiation is made in the form of granules that completely fill the space under the support element between the cup and the reactor.
EFFECT: provides a reduction in the weight and size characteristics of the container and an increase in the safety of transportation and storage of a container with a spent nuclear reactor vessel.
