FIELD: communication equipment. SUBSTANCE: device has communication channel cells, each of which has base station, which process joint control channel for calling mobile station and access channels for connecting mobile station or establishing call from it. Mobile station has information about frequency range of all access channels. Connections are established using duplex communication channels. Physical region which is covered by all respective communication channel cells is detected by means of tools for servicing all communication channels within this region for defined common targets. Each communication channel cell has at least two access channels which frequencies are separated by given level and provide same effective range as communication channels. When mobile station needs access, it scans signal level or power for all access channels twice in moments which are separated by 20 ms. Duplex access channels provides possibility to find access channel with maximal signal level in spite of heavy fading. Mobile station in this case establishes communication using communication channel in most pertinent cell with maximal signal level. EFFECT: decreased occurrences of communication channel switching, improved quality of voice signal, increased speed of establishing connection. 2 cl, 11 dwg
