COMPRESSION-DISTRACTION APPARATUS FOR TREATMENT OF CLAVICLE FRACTURES Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, particularly, traumatology; applicable in treatment of clavicle fractures by method of precutaneous osteosynthesis. SUBSTANCE: in apparatus of external fixation, support is made in form of there arcs of Ilizarov's apparatus. Two said arcs are connected by screw connecting rods and intended for fixing onto wires cross-drawn through front-top sector of distal fractured fragment of clavicle, and the third wire is used for fixing onto wires cross- drawn through front-top sector of proximal fracture fragment of clavicle. The second and third arcs are interconnected by hinge with three threaded connecting rods lying in mutually perpendicular planes. One of arcs is installed plane square to connecting rods of the first and second arcs, and the second arcs is connected with the third arc. The third arc is installed for displacement of distal fractured fragment upward and downward, respectively. Hinges are located on different sides of the third arc, and wires are made with thrust platforms. EFFECT: provided controlled reposition, reliable fixation of clavicle fractured fragments without hindering function of upper extremity. 2 dwg
