FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics, can be used for treating gunshot fractures of a proximal femur with a wire-rod apparatus. Method involves closed reduction on an orthopaedic table, external osteosynthesis of a gunshot fracture of the femur. At the level of the proximal femur, a reposition unit is created consisting of a plank and five 3.0 mm K-wires attached to it and passed through a central fragment within a greater trochanter into the femoral neck and head.
EFFECT: method provides an opportunity to start early rehabilitation and improve anatomical and functional results of treatment due to the fact that osteosynthesis is performed without fixation of pelvic bones.
