FIELD: machine engineering, possibly assembling and arc welding of frame or truss type structures. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes frame having seats, stoppers and two trunnions. Trunnions are mounted in supporting units in frames with possibility of rotating around horizontal axis. Bushings mutually joined by means of busbar are mounted in supporting units. In mean portion of busbar there is terminal for connecting with power source for creating arc. Bushings and busbars are made of high electrical conductivity material. It reduces power losses in welding circuit and lowers magnetic blast for enhancing quality of welded joints. Rod is secured across frame axis. Two or more counterweights are mounted on said rod. Counterweights are provided with stoppers for fixing their position on rod. EFFECT: improved design providing reduced period for balancing apparatus and its simplified adjustment. 3 cl, 3 dwg
