FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: tank car includes barrel 2 secured on frame 1 consisting of shell 4 and heads 4, running gear 5 and protective boards embracing the head; each protective boards is secured on frame opposite to barrel heads by means of detachable joint at spaced relation; they have form of surface of cylinder cut off by inclined plane. Strip made in form of plate is rigidly secured on inner side of board; this strip is located vertically. Diameter of protective board is close to or equal to diameter of shell. EFFECT: reduced labor consumption in performing repair jobs; facilitated manufacture. 2 cl, 3 dwg
