FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to horizontal tanks designed for transportation of different oil products. Proposed tank has barrel with two elliptical bottom plates, hatch, safety-intake valve, drain device, brake equipment and running gear. It has additional container rigidly secured in lower part of barrel and two semiframes connected with barrel by means of bolster and center sill cradles and installed on two-axle bogies of running gear. Drain device of tank is installed in additional container. Each bogie of tank running gear is furnished with self-contained brake. Additional container formed by half-shell with conical adapters at end faces is installed with displacement relative to horizontal axis of barrel. Frames are installed on inner and outer surfaces of barrel, and protective screens are rigidly secured to bottom plates. Invention increases load capacity of railway tank for transportation of liquid loads and improves safety in operation owing to lowering of center of gravity.
