FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: railway tank has body in form of horizontal reservoir consisting of elliptical bottoms and cylindrical shell installed on running gear through frame. Shell consists of three rings. End rings are connected with bottoms and are arranged on frame. Middle ring rigidly fastened to frame by shaped feet is provided with hatch and draining device. Each ring of cylindrical shell is made of interconnected upper sheets and armored lower sheets. Body is installed on support beams and is secured by clamps. Cylindrical shell has fourth middle ring. Middle rings are equal to each other and are connected by girth weld over middle axis of shell. Cylindrical shell is made and installed at 1-3 degree inclination relative to middle of body. Longitudinal welds of middle rings are displaced relative to each other through distance not less than 100 mm. Longitudinal weld of shell between upper sheet and lower armored sheet of each end ring is made so that angle between the sheet and lower generatrix of body is 70-85 degrees. Weld between lower armored sheet and all other sheets of each middle ring is made at angle of 30-40 degrees from body lower generatrix. Ratio between lengths of lower part of middle ring and upper part relative to vertical axis is 1.02-1.07, and ratio of heights of end shaped feet is 1.04-1.08. End section of smaller height is installed towards middle of body. EFFECT: increased turn-over of tank, reliability and quality of transportation. 5 cl, 5 dwg
