HELICOPTER EXTERNAL STORE SLING AND METHOD OF ITS MANUFACTURE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: aeronautical engineering; helicopter external stores. SUBSTANCE: external store sling several length of belt connected in form of closed rings inserted concentrically one line another and folded forming center portion and end loops; reinforcing lengths of belt are stitched to each of them at point of bent of loops on inner side; inner side of belt tings at point of bend of one loop is turned outside. Prior to cutting the belt, it is marked under load equal to 1 to 2 % of belt breaking load. Cut-out lengths of belt are connected by overlapping forming rings; reinforcing lengths of belt are stitched to each belt ring on inner side at point of bending of one loop and on outer side at point of bending of second loop. Stitched rings are inserted One into another matching the points of bending of loops with reinforcing lengths of one type. Then belts are fixed and set of belt rings are turned with their inner side outside at point of bending of loop with reinforcing length located on the outer of belt rings.
