FIELD: nondestructive testing of structures and equipment, technical diagnostics. SUBSTANCE: in agreement with invention wave form of acoustic signals is recorded and numbered, their spectrum is computed, noises are filtered, time of arrival of signals is recorded, coordinates of their sources are computed, parameters of signals are analyzed and degree of hazard of sources as potential defects of structure is evaluated. In this case recording of time of arrival of signals and determination of coordinates of sources are performed by frequency of digitization of analog-to-digital converters that is synchronized by all reception channels. Filtration of noises, analysis of parameters of signals and evaluation of degree of hazard of sources are additionally conducted by computed spectra with allowance for coordinates of sources. Operations are carried out on processors of multichannel registration and preliminary signal processing modules distributed over local computer network and modules of signal analysis under control of operational real time system.
