FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: surface of an object is scanned. Optical radiation of the object is polarised. The polarisation thermal image signal is converted to an electrical signal followed by storage and analysis of the electrical signal. A polarisation thermal image is formed. The shape of the object is recognised in real time by processing one of the thermal images obtained using a combined polarisation filter.
EFFECT: remote recognition of the shape of an object inside its thermal image contour based on one polarisation image.
