SUBSTANCE: by means of skeletal extension, proximal shift of femur is removed up to required level till prosthesis is positioned behind tuberosity of tibia with periodical increase of loads. Then load is reduced so that to maintain femoral component on obtained level for 5-6 weeks, which reduces retraction capacity of pelvic girdle muscles when femoral component is maintained on obtained level.
