FIELD: mechanical engineering; rotary internal combustion engines for mobile and stationary installations. SUBSTANCE: rotary internal combustion engine has hollow housing, cylindrical rotor in slots of which blades are installed for reciprocation and channel for intake of working mixture, device for ignition of working mixture and channel to let out combustion products. Rotor is installed inside housing to form variable-capacity working chambers between outer surface of rotor, inner surface of housing and surfaces of two neighbor blades. According to invention, through space is made in body of rotor on each section limited by two neighbor blades. Outlet hole of space is located on side surface of rotor, and inlet hole is located on its end face surface. Channel for intake of working mixture, drive for ignition of working mixture and channel to let out combustion products are connected to inlet hole of each through space. Part of volume of through spaces and part of volume formed by outer surface of rotor and inner surface of housing are filled with liquid.
