FIELD: high-pressure multistage centrifugal pumps mainly used at pumping water down the oil pool in oil fields. SUBSTANCE: the horizontal pump plant comprises two pumps secured on pedestals that are installed on a frame. Located between the pumps on the frame is an electric motor with two shaft extensions connected to the pump shafts with the aid of couplings. The pumps are furnished with end packings. The delivery branch of one pump is connected to the inlet branch of the other pump. The couplings are furnished with centering mounts made of two tapered members engageable with each other by the concave and convex surfaces. One of the centering mounts is installed for movement along the shaft. EFFECT: enhanced service life of the pump plant due to balancing of axial thrusts and reduced maintenance costs due to reduction of time for shaft alignment. 2 cl, 3 dwg
