FIELD: manufacture of seats of ball cocks. SUBSTANCE: method for making articles with curvilinear surface of revolution comprises steps of winding blank in the form of coil with use of identical belts in the form of trapeziums. Bases of trapeziums exceed height of article respectively along its outer and inner diameters by value of material pressing down. In order to provide uniform distribution of pressed down material, leading ends of belts are shifted one relative to another by the same distance and blank is tightened along outer diameter by constant-width belt. EFFECT: reduced non-uniformity of material deformation, elimination of rejects caused by wrinkles, cracking and shape distortions, increased material usage factor due to optimization of cutting out process. 2 cl, 3 dwg
