FIELD: fur industry. SUBSTANCE: fur-skins are subjected to soaking with aqueous composition containing sodium chloride and complex preparation based cyclic terpenes. Skins are fleshed and degreased with aqueous composition including surfactant. Tannage is carried out with composition including sodium chloride and organic acid (acetic acid or mixture of acetic and formic acids). Complex preparation for soaking is based on oxygen-containing cyclic terpenes with general formula C10H16O and process is conducted for 13-15 hr. Sodium chloride is added to aqueous composition in two steps: in the beginning of treatment and 8-9 hr later together with organic acid. Degreasing operation is combined with tannage - in this case, sodium chloride and surfactant are added to aqueous composition simultaneously. EFFECT: reduced mass of skins by 10-14%, strengthened attachment of hair to skin tissue by 44-48%, and reduced treatment time by 19-23%. 2 tbl
