FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in the feed of melt into a vertical mould consisting of two pairs of opposite walls with the mould cavity expanding in the upper part, formation of skin with its deformation and pushing-through of the casting. The mould walls are set in motion imparting rotary motion to one pair of walls with the number of skin deformations n=20-40 per meter of the casting length, and reciprocating motion to the other pair of walls, with casting pushing-through speed V=1.5-3 m/min.
