FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has intermediate ladle with blind bottom, pouring immersion cup, two water cooled crystallizers and sectioned priming device. First crystallizer has two vertical walls mounted for reciprocation and two walls with inclined upper parts and vertical lower parts positioned for rotational movement. Second crystallizer has immovable walls. Ratios of width a1 of working cavity of first crystallizer and width a2 of working cavity of second crystallizer, as well as length b1 of working cavity of first crystallizer and length b2 of working cavity of second crystallizer are a2=(1.1-2)a1, b1=(1.1-1.25)b2, where a1 is width of working cavity of first crystallizer in gaging zone. Besides, ratio of priming device length L, first crystallizer height h1 and height h2 of inclined part of second crystallizer wall is L=(1.1-1.5) (h1+h2).
