FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: the casting box is made heated and has holes, 2 to 4 mm in dia, located around the edges of the bottom part, it is furnished with a grate with similar holes for turning relative to the bottom part of the casting box. The surface of the second pair of vertical walls has grooves that receive inserts made of material with a low thermal conductivity. The ratio of thermal conductivities of materials of the first and second pairs of working walls of the mould equals 10-100. Cermet is used as material for the turning grate with holes and inserts. The inserts are installed in the upper part of the mould to the sizing zone. EFFECT: enhanced capacity, expanded range of products with different level of plasticity, improved quality of surface and internal structure of castings. 2 cl, 2 dwg
