FIELD: equipment, particularly, closing device attached to upper part of coke drum for prevention of escape of hot vapors during operation of coke removal. SUBSTANCE: closing device includes cylindrical body having turning ball valve installed in its lower part and long rod rigidly secured to ball valve at angle of 90 deg and cover unit including stuffing box seal located in body upper part, turning cutting tool located inside body above ball valve having driving rod running upward through stuffing box seal of cover unit. During operation, ball valve opens and driving rod with cutting tool secured to it may move downward through cylindrical opening of ball valve into coke drum and rotate for cutting coke settled in drum and its removal.
