FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed invention refers to isolating valves used at operation of installation for delayed coking. The valve consists of the first seat, of the second seat matched with the first seat by axis, of a gate, of a main case with an opening coinciding by dimension with an opening in line; also the said main case is connected with the said line; an upper and lower covers are connected with the said main case; notably, the said covers can be demounted to replace parts of the valve without separating the main case from the line; further, the valve consists of a plate located inside the cover, and the plate has flat surface contacting surface of the gate.
EFFECT: disclosed invention suggests more efficient design and system of isolating valve of coking drum, also more efficient methods of isolating flow of substance from one place to another for operation of installation for delayed coking.
